Billa Team Meets Press

Prominent members of the Billa 2007 cast and crew met up with the press meet to discuss their surefire blockbuster.

Produced by Anandha Pictures Circuit and Ayangaran International, Billa 2007 has Ajith in the lead marking his sixth 'double act' movie. Whenever he has played multiple roles, his films have invariably topped the charts. Probably because of the mighty care he takes in differentiating one character from the other, so much so that while watching the movie you hardly realize that it's the same guy!

Speaking at the Press meet L Suresh of Anandh Pictures track mentioned that the idea of doing a remake of a Rajini movie germinate in the mind of Ajith. It was on his suggestion that the topic was brought up with the Super Star. Rajinikanth, however, on the mention of a Billa remake was so excited, it was transmittable! The producer is very grateful for the encouragement and support that the Boss has shown, every step of the way.

So what did Super Star have to say about the well cut trailer? Apparently he was totally floored by the stylish picturization. He is supposed to have said that if the voiceover at the beginning was removed, it could easily pass off as a trailer for an English movie! "Getting Rajini's 'go ahead' at the beginning completed half the job", Ajith said – now with this compliment the team must be sure their efforts have not gone in vain.

Vishnuvardhan was only too happy with the outcome and the amount of hardwork his entire team put into the making of the movie. Well aware, that Billa 2007, is expected to be the second biggest hit of 2007, second to Sivaji, Vishnuvardhan must be thrilled about the hype the movie has created. Vishnu was all praise for the star and the humble person within the hero of his movie, and congratulated him on his performance.

Also present at the meet were actors Raghuman and Prabhu. Raguman mentioned that this movie was probably the biggest movie he had worked on in his movie career. And also stated that he along with the rest of the team have put in their best efforts for the film. Agreeing with him in this, Prabhu added that after Rajini and Kamal Haasan, Ajith was the most humble, unassuming and polite star he'd worked with. He added that he was very happy to be a part of this project.

The music director of movie, Yuvan Shankar Raja was also present at the event. He mentioned that he and Vishnu had studied in the same school, and it was always interesting to work with someone as energetic and enthusiastic as him. Yuvan has remixed two songs from the original Billa, namely My Name is Billa and Vethalaiye Potendi – both are bound to get some great reviews.

A brigade of very motivated people have got together to make what could easily be the most stylish tamil movie, yet. We wish them all the very best - we already know the movie is going to rock!
