‘Billa’ 2007 audio selling like hotcake

Ajit and Yuvanshankar Raja teamed up to render a musical hit in 'Dheena', a few years ago. Now the duo has managed to create a new record with 'Billa'.

The audio CDs and cassettes of Billa, released a couple of days ago by Ayngaran International, are selling like hotcakes. The movie is a remake of yesteryear blockbuster titled the same and it features Ajit, Nayantara and Namitha in lead roles. Music is by Yuvanshankar Raja and is directed by Vishnuvardhan.

After Rajnikanth's 'Sivaji', it was Billa's audio which is making waves in the industry this year. Songs from the original movie – My Name is Billa and Vethalaya Pottendi - are remixed for the new version and it has found favour with youngsters immediately.

Expressing delight at the success of the audio, director Vishuvardhan, says, "'Billa' is a trendy and stylish film. No major changes have been made to the original script. The success of audio will vouch for the movie. Ajit is show cased in a different way. We are confident of a big success".

'Billa' to release on Rajni's Birthday

The movie was supposed to release December 1st week but on Thala's orders it has been postponed to December 12th as a dedication to one of his role models SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH.

So Confirm Release Date on 12th December.
